Suguna Poultry set to cross Rs. 1,100 cr. turnover

COIMBATORE: The Coimbatore-based Suguna Poultry Farms Limited expects to cross Rs. 1,100 crore turnover this fiscal. According to its Managing Director, B. Soundararajan, its turnover last year was Rs. 820 crore. With operations in eight States, the company plans to expand to Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab soon. He said the company targeted an annual turnover of Rs. 3,000 crore by 2010 by capturing 20 per cent market share. Producing about 40 lakh birds a week, its market share now was 14 per cent.
