NEW DELHI: All aspects of U.S. President George Bush's visit, including the nuclear deal, will be discussed in the Rajya Sabha on Saturday. It will end with the Prime Minister replying to the points raised. This was decided at a special meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the House on Tuesday. Deputy leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Sushma Swaraj said the Opposition attack would be led by Murli Manohar Joshi and the BJP would bring within the ambit of discussions issues related to cooperation with the U.S. on agriculture research. The Rajya Sabha is hoping to start a discussion on the Union budget immediately after the Railway Minister's reply on Wednesday to the debate on the railway budget. And, on March 10 it is expecting to wind up the debate on the budget with the Finance Minister's reply before devoting the next day to the discussion on the. agreements. It seems that while a detailed discussion on the demands for grants by the Home and Agriculture Ministries will take place in the Lok Sabha, in the Rajya Sabha the demands for grants by the External Affairs Ministry could be discussed. A final view, however, has not yet been taken on this.
