Rajnath Singh leaving for Varanasi

Special Correspondent

NEW DELHI: Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh is leaving for Varanasi, where 12 persons were killed and 20 injured in blasts at the Sankat Mochan temple and the cantonment railway station on Tuesday evening.

Emerging from a meeting of party leaders here, he blamed the blasts on the "soft policies" of the United Progressive Alliance Government towards terrorist activities. Talking to reporters, he said he could not rule out any possibility including the involvement of the ruling Samajwadi Party. He said the SP had a track record for spreading communal tension.
