Cost-effective pacemakers from Pacetronix

INDORE: The Indore-based Shree Pacetronix Ltd. has volunteered to offer indigenously manufactured pre-programmed pacemakers for as little as Rs. 25,000 as against the cost of Rs. 45,000-50,000 of an imported device. Local governments in Northern and Western India provide these devices for below poverty line patients. Pacetronix, a CE and ISO certified firm, produces the product at its Pithampur unit. The promoter of Pacetronix, Surendra Sethi, now an NRI, says in a release that the pacemakers are equivalent to any international brand and notified bodies based in France have approved the product.
