ANANTAPUR : Telugu Desam leaders have urged people to end the `corrupt' rule of the Congress by teaching a fitting lesson to it the forthcoming sarpanch and mandal elections.

Participating in NTR Jana Chaitanya Yatra at Gooty, Pedda Vaduguru, Pamidi, Kalluru and Garladinne on Monday TDP Polit Bureau member K. Srinivasulu alleged that Congress leaders had forgotten the promises made before the Assembly elections after assuming power.

A procession of bullock carts taken out by farmers having allegiance to TDP at Gooty attracted onlookers.

Party leaders B.K. Parthasarathi, Palle Raghunatha Reddy, K.M. Saifullah, V. Hanumantharaya Chowdary and others spoke.

Meanwhile, TDP legislator from Penukonda Paritala Sunita on Monday assured her constituents that she would be always with them and they need not fear the excesses being committed by Congress men.
