MYSORE: Mysore University Private College Teachers Association has extended its support to the State Government employees' plan to hold an agitation on March 9. It has called upon college teachers under Mysore University to support the strike without causing inconvenience to either the students or disturbing the college routine. The teaching community can stage dharnas in front of their respective colleges during leisure hours, it said. The association has also supported the demands of the employees such as merger of 50 per cent Dearness Allowance with the basic and extending of retirement age up to 60 years. It urged the State Government to immediately concede the employees' demands.
