TV crew attacked

The attackers lashed out at the CNN-IBN staff for airing a programme on BSF chief Mayawati

LUCKNOW:
Two employees of a private television channel were roughed up and their car set ablaze by four persons on Tuesday for carrying a news report alleging that Bahujan Samaj Party leader Mayawati possessed "unaccounted" wealth, channel sources said.
A cameraman and an assistant were pulled out of their car by the four men, who arrived on motorcycles at Madan Mohan Malviya Marg. The employees were roughed up and their set ablaze, the sources said. The staff suffered injuries in the assault.
Before setting the vehicle on fire, the attackers lashed out at the employees for airing the programme on Ms. Mayawati, sources alleged. — PTI
