Undertrial attempts suicide

Coimbatore: An undertrial, Muthukumar (20), son of Kasi of Tiruchirappalli, lodged at the Coimbatore Central Prison was rushed to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital on Tuesday morning after he reportedly attempted to commit suicide. According to prison sources, Muthukumar was arrested by the railway police in connection a crime case. He reportedly attempted to commit suicide by hanging himself. He was brought to the hospital in an unconscious state.
