Youth found dead in suspicious circumstances on city outskirts

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The body of an unidentified man aged 25 years, with injuries all over the body, was found in the bushes near a temple under construction at Dhulapally crossroads of Kompally on the city's outskirts on Tuesday.

The Petbashirabad police, who booked a murder case, said the wounds on the body suggested that he was beaten to death with sticks.

`Sexual jealousy'

The victim had the letters B and R tattooed on his left hand while the symbol `Om' and name Suman in Hindi were found on his right hand. As some bloodstains on the soil and bloodstained clothes apparently belonging to the victim were found near a hut , the needle of suspicion pointed towards the people living in it. However, Petbashirabad Sub-Inspector Srinath Reddy said that the hut's occupants were absconding. "It appears the body was dragged from the hut to the bushes where it was found.

We suspect the killing to be a fall-out of sexual jealousy," the SI said.

Constable dies in accident

Hailing from Kamareddy of Nizamabad, the constable was rushed to the Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences where he succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Tuesday.
