Letters to the Editor
That there is no permanent principle or ideology anymore in politics is true. The unexpected switching of alliances by MDMK leader Vaiko is sheer opportunism. Does he want us to forget his past statements? Have all his remarks about the AIADMK been false?
N.M. Thahir,
Mr. Vaiko's crossover is not fortuitous. Evidently politicians have devoted enormous energy and resources to developing methods of propaganda to manipulate public opinion.
K.P.K. Pechiannan,
On the eve of elections, migration to this or that alliance is not uncommon or unethical for those who do not believe in the dictum "means should justify the end." Mr. Vaiko is no exception to this rule.
A. Jegadeesan,
