Power shutdown in parts of city today

KOCHI: Power supply will be shut down on Church Landing Road and Old Thevara Road from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on Friday owing to maintenance of electrical lines. This was informed by the Electrical Section of the Kerala State Electricity Board. — Staff Reporter

Actor's death mourned

KOCHI: The city unit of the Kerala Brahmana Sabha, at a meeting held on Thursday, mourned the death of actor M.S. Tripunithura on Wednesday. Venkiteshwaran, State general secretary of the sabha, P.S. Raman, district president, and other office-bearers spoke on the occasion. — Staff Reporter

Jet Airways reschedules flights

KOCHI: Jet Airways has rescheduled its Kochi flights on Monday, owing to closure of the runway for maintenance at the Nedumbassery airport. The changed schedule is as follows: Flight number 9W 403 will leave Mumbai at 1 p.m. and reach Kochi at 2.50 p.m.; flight number 9W 404 will leave Kochi at 3.30 p.m. and reach Mumbai at 5.15 p.m. Flight number 9W 523 will leave Bangalore at 2 p.m. and arrive at Kochi at 3 p.m.; flight number 9W 524 will leave Kochi at 3.35 p.m. and reach Bangalore at 4.35 p.m. — Staff Reporter
