DGP directed to constitute SIT

Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Thursday directed the Director General of Police(DGP) to constitute a special investigation team (SIT) to inquire into the case relating to the assault on NRI businessman Madhu Mohan Nair by film actor Baiju.

Justice K. Padmanabhan Nair issued the directive on a petition filed by Mr. Nair complaining that the crime branch was not investigating the case properly. He alleged that Baiju had threatened him at gunpoint and tried to kill him at the Trivandrum Club.
