Eye check-up

camp at Sogala

The Sri Ganapati Sachchidananda Ashrama and Helpage India are conducting a eye check up camp at Sogala in Channapatana taluk on Friday from 9 a.m. The patients identified for surgery will be brought to Vittala Eye Hospital on Friday and surgery will be conducted the next day.

Yoga camp

Sri Jayachamarajendra Government Ayurvedic Hospital has organised a month-long yoga camp for those suffering from asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure and so on from March 13. Interested persons can register their names at the hospital between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Diploma exam

The annual/semester diploma theory examinations for 2006 conducted by Board of Technical Examinations will be held from April 25. The timetable is available on "www.dtc.kar.nic.in".

Seminar

Global Academy of Technology and Karnataka Council for Technological Upgradation is holding a national seminar on "WTO and technology transfer" on Friday at Global Academy College. The seminar will be beneficial to management and engineering faculties.

Courses for teachers

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's H.B. College of Communication and Management along with Spastics Society of Karnataka are organising three courses to help teachers deal with differently abled children better. The courses include "management of children with problems in learning in the regular classroom", which is a certificate course in inclusive education, a postgraduate diploma in comprehensive management of children with learning disorders which is a one-year course and a certificate course in early childhood education, which is a distance education programme for six months.
