Four more nabbed in Palani murder case

BANGALORE:
A special team of the city police arrested four more accused persons who were part of a 20-member team that allegedly murdered rowdy-sheeter Palani on the premises of a private hospital here on February 16.
The police gave the names of the accused as G. Pradeep (24), resident of Lakshmipura, Ulsoor, Muruga (26), resident of Garudachar Palya, Sankesh, alias Sanki (24), resident of Raghavendra Block, Srinagar and Kumara (23), resident of Bagalur Layout in Lingarajapuram.
Hacked to death
Palani was hacked to death by members belonging to his rival gang while he was undergoing treatment at the Hosmat Hospital on February 16.
The police have already arrested seven persons in this connection.
Vehicle theft
The Kalasipalya Police have arrested two persons on charges of vehicle theft and recovered two cars and one motorcycle estimated at Rs. 7 lakhs.
The police gave the names of the accused as Abdul Ajij (31) and Aslam Pasha (29).
Ajij was nabbed when he was attempting to sell stolen vehicles on MTB Road in Kalasipalya. Based on the information provided by him, Pasha was arrested, the police said.
The vehicles were stolen from Mangalore and Bangalore, the police added.
