Texport launches AVI ACs
HYDERABAD:
Texport Electronics Ltd. (TEL), which owns the AVI range of air conditioners, has set its eye on capturing a major share in the Southern AC market which is growing rapidly. TEL Managing Director, Major Raj Sahai, who was here on Friday to unveil AVI range of air conditioners, told reporters that there was a significant shift in the ACs from window to split in the southern market. The 50:50 ratio of split and window ACs in 2003 was moving towards 70:30 for split and window during 2006. Buoyed by the successful debut into the white goods market through air conditioners, Texport was now drawing plans to expand into other premium products in consumer durables.
