`Canards' for Sukhoi fighters

Bangalore: Dynamatic Aerospace, a division of Dynamatic Technologies, on Friday handed over the first set of "canards" for the SU-30 MKI fighter-bomber to K.P. Puri, Managing Director, MiG Complex. The Sukhoi-30 MKI programme is the largest defence project, implemented by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), to be undertaken in the country.

HAL is vertically integrated with all major processes and detailed parts production, airframe structures and aircraft integration.

It has now embarked on a plan to involve the private sector in producing major modules for it.
