CHANDIGARH: The programme for biennial election to fill a seat in the Rajya Sabha by the elected members of the Haryana Assembly has been issued. The seat would fall vacant on the retirement of sitting MP Faqir Chand, Returning Officer Sumit Kumar said here on Friday. Nominations can be filed up to 3 p.m. on March 17. The nomination papers will be scrutinised on March 18 at 10 a.m. and the last date for withdrawal of candidature will be March 20. Polling, if necessary, will be held on March 28.
