CPI(M) condemns "foisting of cases" on villagers

CHENNAI: Communist Party of India (Marxist) has condemned the "attack and foisting of cases" on the people of Senkkonam village in Pudukottai district who had protested the discrepancies in the disbursement of flood relief.

In a statement here, its state secretary N. Varadarajan demanded action against the officials responsible for the incident and also wanted the Government to ensure such problems did not recur.
