Now, `Walky with FM'

CHENNAI:
If you are a Tata Indicom landline subscriber, then your `Walky' could soon become your radio set.
The service provider got RJ Suchitra to launch the `Walky with FM' service. Subscribers will have a choice of 10 FM channels through the Axesstel P830 instrument and also be able to set their morning alarm ring tone to the FM channel of their choice.
The new phone is available for Rs.1,999. "Existing customers can exchange their existing Walky instruments by paying a one-time, non-refundable charge of Rs.1,000," a company representative said.
Ramesh Thondapi, General Manager of Marketing, Tata Teleservices, Tamil Nadu Circle, said, "The launch of `Walky with FM' for the first time in India is an extension of our commitment to continuously innovate and offer a host of novel features on Walky to our customers. We wish to redefine the entertainment space in the country."
