Two women attacked, robbed of gold chains

BANGALORE: Four armed youths attacked an elderly woman and her daughter-in-law and robbed them of two gold chains and looted cash and silver articles from their house in Subramanyapura police station limits on Thursday night.

The police said that around 9.15 p.m. someone knocked on the door of Hemanth's house at Vallabhanagar in Uttarahalli. When Hemanth's wife Suguna opened the door, the robbers sprayed some chemical on her face.

When Suguna screamed, her mother-in-law Vijayalakshmi came out and the robbers sprayed chemicals on her face too. They assaulted the two women, robbed them of two gold chains and also took away Rs. 15,000 in cash, a mobile phone and silver articles from the house. The Subramanyapura police have registered a case.
