BIJAPUR: Pontiffs of various maths and members of Hindu organisations took out a protest rally here on Saturday against the bomb blast at the Sankat Mochan temple in Varanasi.

The march was taken out under the banner of "Dharma Rakshana Vedike." The procession that began at the Siddeshwar temple passed through the main streets of the city before culminating at the Gandhi Chowk.

Rashtriya Swayamsevek Sangha leader Chandrashekhar Kavatagi and vedike secretary Shivarudra Bagalkot urged the Government to deport Bangladesh and Pakistani nationals who are overstaying in the country. They stressed the need to reintroduce POTA.
