BANGALORE: Union Minister of State for Planning M.V. Rajasekharan has said that the future of the country is safe in the hands of scholarly minds such as the former Director of the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, N.S. Ramaswamy. Speaking after felicitating Prof. Ramaswamy on the occasion of his 80th birthday here on Saturday, Mr. Rajasekharan said Prof. Ramaswamy belongs to a line of scholars and humanists who are capable of comprehending and addressing issues from multiple points of view with balance and vision. The former Chief Justice of India M.N. Venkatachalaiah said the intellectual and spiritual insights of Prof. Ramaswamy are significant. The former Chief Secretary B.K. Bhattacharya, noted water management expert P.S. Rao and others spoke on the abilities and achievements of the "management guru" and his love for animals. Replying to the felicitations, Prof. Ramaswamy said, "You have humbled me by your presence."
