Thiruvananthapuram: Sixteen All India Youth Federation (AIYF) activists, who blocked the official residence of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy at Jagathy here on Saturday demanding an inquiry into the printing of question papers of SSLC examination and the ouster of Education Minister E.T. Mohammed Basheer, were arrested by the police. The activists led by district president P.K. Raju, district secretary Manoj. B. Edamana and 14 others blocked the gate of Mr. Chandy's official residence around 8.15 a.m. as part of the State-wide `protest day' called by the AIYF demanding an inquiry into the transportation of the question papers of the SSLC examination and manhandling of the activists of the Left students organisations who organised protest marches on the issue. The police, who were not present in sufficient strength, were taken aback by the stir.
