Expedite works at Kuntegudda park: Minister

`Open the park to the public before April-end'

BELLARY: B. Sriramulu, Minister for Tourism and Textiles, instructed the authorities to expedite works at the Golden Jubilee Park (Kuntegudda park) in the city.

The instructions were given after the Minister inspected the ongoing works at the park.

Detailed discussions were held on the causes of delay. He wanted the authorities concerned to complete all the works and open the park to the public before the end of April.

Attractions

Ball fountain, dome fountain, water cascade, vertical jet and boating are among the major attractions proposed at the park, besides erecting welcome arches at the entrances with financial assistance to the tune of Rs. 3 crores from the district administration, City Municipal Corporation, Department of Tourism and also donations from institutions and associations.

Arvind Srivastav, Deputy Commissioner; G.N. Shivamurthy, incharge Municipal Commissioner; Subramanyam and Sashidhar, Deputy Director and Assistant Director of Land Army respectively, accompanied the Minister.
