PALAKKAD: A convocation ceremony for 72 nursery students of Palghat Lions School was held here on Saturday. The passing-out parade for the UKG students of the school was the first of its kind that enthused the kindergarten students, their friends and parents. The students were dressed up in black gowns and flat caps with ribbons for the convocation. They were conferred `Degree' by Dinesh Arora, Sub-Collector, Ottapalam. He has also handed over Diploma and Profile to the students. The function was followed by an entertainment programme by the Kindergarten children. R.G. Venkatesh, president, Lions Club of Palghat, presided over the programme. D. Ramanathan, district governor of Lions Club, was the guest of honour.
