Police officials take part in peace march

BANGALORE: More than 7,000 police personnel, including city Police Commissioner Ajai Kumar Singh and senior police officials, took part in a peace march that started from various parts of the city on Saturday. Later, the police personnel assembled at BRV Parade Ground, next to Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium, and took an oath to protect the life and property of the people.

The peace march began at 7 a.m.and culminated at BRV Parade Grounds at 8.30 p.m.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Singh called upon the policemen to work sincerely towards maintaining peace in the city. He urged them to come down on anti-social elements and provide security to law-abiding citizens.
