Letters to the Editor
I wonder what the March 8 fuss is all about. Are women who can afford the overexcitement of this over-hyped day the ones who need empowerment? The women who really need to be empowered are living in the most horrible conditions and they do not even know that there is something called Women's Day. It is the women who cannot read newspapers who need empowerment not those who demand equal treatment and, at the same time, ask for reservation. So those who genuinely care for the less fortunate and are not just hungry for some camera time or column space should start by helping those who cannot help themselves.
