Letters to the Editor
I often wonder why reputed companies fail to satisfy their customers' desire for decent treatment. Is it because of globalisation and anonymity? You ring a number and hear a voice that says he or she is at your service, your call is very important to the company but "all our customer care executives are busy at the moment." While you hold the line, you are briefed on the new products and schemes. Another five minutes, some more ads and music. Then you are told: "All our customer care executives are still busy, why don't you call after half an hour?" When you finally get through to the executives, you are asked to give your complaint in writing. Are the days of personal care gone forever?
