HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy met AICC president Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on Sunday amid growing speculation on finalisation of candidates for the Rajya Sabha elections. Dr. Reddy, who attended the conference of Chief Ministers and Chief Justices of High Courts, met Ms. Gandhi along with APCC president K. Keshava Rao. He was invited by the party high command to finalise the candidates. The PCC chief and adviser to CM (Public affairs) K.V. P. Ramachandra Rao are among the Congressmen in the race for the ticket. Dr. Reddy later told reporters that the candidates would be announced on March 14 or 15 and refused to divulge the names. The final decision was left to the high command. He also met AICC general secretary in charge of Andhra Pradesh Digvijay Singh and discussed the selection of candidates.
