Congress MLA terms Opposition charges baseless

  • TDP had failed to take up any project during its regime, says Jeevan Reddy
  • Irregularities alleged during TDP tenure

KARIMNAGAR : Congress legislator T. Jeevan Reddy has appealed to TDP leaders not to obstruct the fast-progressing ambitious SRSP flood flow canal and Yellampalli (Sripadasagar) projects on the river Godavari.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, the MLA alleged that TDP leaders were making a hue and cry over the projects and trying to obstruct them by levelling baseless allegations. Refuting the charges on the Yellampalli project, he clarified that the project cost had escalated due to increase in the ayacut under the project. Mr. Jeevan Reddy also asked why the TDP had failed to raise the alleged irregularities during the open debate of the Sripadasagar project held on November 13, 2005 at Ramagundam.
