Guideline value revised

Staff Reporter

ERODE: The guideline value for land in all the 539 villages in the district have been revised, said the Collector, D. Karthikeyan, on Sunday. He said on the advice of the State Government and the guidelines issued by it to avoid fluctuations in land cost, a committee had been formed with the Collector as chairman and the District Revenue Officer, District Registrar and the Assistant Director (Panchayats) as members.

The committee visited all the villages and revised the guideline value. The details of the revised value had been kept in the panchayat offices. The Collector told the people to verify the new rates and if they had any objections, they could make an appeal to the committee through the respective Tahsildars or Sub-Registrars. The final list would be published after all the complaints were verified.
