In honour of M. Krishnan

Bangalore: "Eye in the jungle," a special commemorative edition of some of M. Krishnan's photographs and writings, was released at Windsor Sheraton and Towers here on Saturday by Jnanapith Award winner Girish Karnad. Krishnan was one of India's pioneering naturalists. He used photography to illustrate and supplement his observations. He was a member of several Indian wildlife bodies. In 1968, he was awarded the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fellowship and in the following year, the Padma Shri.
