CHENNAI: The way India will be recognised in future will be by its `Indian-ness.' If we at any point of time intrinsically cut ourselves away from `Indian-ness' we will all wither, said Suresh Krishna, chairman and managing director, Sundram Fasteners, who was felicitated by the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the recent conferment of Padmashri.
Mr. Krishna dedicated the felicitation to his staff who for 44 years helped build the company.
Good management
All good management include vision of the workforce, customers and suppliers that the CEO gives shape to; communication that would make others share the vision; setting goals and winning, to keep the players motivated.
"There are only two things the world respects: Well-entrenched military force or well-entrenched economic force. We should aim to be an economic force" said Mr. Krishna, who is also the chairman of Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IJCCI). N. Murali, joint managing director, The Hindu , said Mr. Krishna was someone whom many admired and was "a role model to many of us, one of the most respected members of the illustrious TVS family." He "epitomises the core values of the TVS group of trust, business ethics, customer care, excellence and quality."
Yoshiaki Kodaki, consul general of Japan, Chennai; Ramakrishna Raja, founder director; N. Krishnaswami, secretary general and R. Veeramani, chamber president spoke.
