Bangalore: He is a civil engineering graduate, known to many now as "Guruji." He is not an astrologer, a face reader or a horoscope reader, but has an uncanny way of knowing your past, present and future say the followers of Sri Nimishananda. Explaining his encounter with spirituality, he says it came to him while on a visit to the temple of Devi Nimishabma at Ganjam, Orissa, in 1996. He gave up his job to become a full-time spiritual leader. In his discourses, Sri Nimishananda demystifies the essence of the Vedanta and makes it relevant to our lives. They are practical, down-to-earth and easy to apply, he says. He conducts a programme called BLISS to bring about an inner transformation. The `Nimisha Kriya' taught at the programme harnesses the energy in each individual and harmonises the body, mind and soul with the divine through the five basic elements of creation: earth, water, fire, air and the ether. This reportedly brings boundless success. Regarding this programme, the Guruji says "we think that achieving a good reputation, fame and wealth is success. But if we look around us, we will discover that those who have earned all this still lack constant peace and happiness.'' "When the ability to tune into the spirit within is realised, we reach true success. Then every option we choose and every decision we make is automatically right. Most of us wrongly assume that success is based on competition and requires endless work. This is not true. All of us need to learn the true spiritual approach to success, which brings an effortless flow of material prosperity and spiritual well being to each individual. The programme is specially created to achieve this," he explains.
