9 Manipur insurgents surrender

IMPHAL: Nine insurgents belonging to five different tribal and non-tribal underground organisations surrendered to Z. U. Shah, Commander, 3 Corps of Assam Rifles here on Monday. They laid down 17 assorted weapons and a huge cache of ammunition.

Of them, three belonged to the United National Liberation Front, two to the People's Liberation Army and one each to the People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak, the Kuki Revolutionary Army and the Kuki National Front (P).
