N. Krishna Iyengar is dead

BANGALORE: N. Krishna Iyengar, a freedom fighter, died here on Monday. He was 98 and is survived by four sons, including Doordarshan Kolkata Station Additional Director N.K. Mohanram and journalist S. Sridhar, and four daughters.

A doctor by profession, Dr. Iyengar participated in the Quit India Movement and was jailed.

He was a recipient of the State Government's Freedom Fighters Award and had engaged himself in social work.
