Governor extends greetings

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: Governor T.N. Chaturvedi has extended greetings to the people on the occasion of Holi.

It is an occasion to shun ill feelings and give expression to friendship and camaraderie. Holi is celebrated by all sections of society, cutting across narrow boundaries of caste or creed. "May Lord Krishna bestow happiness, peace and prosperity to all," he said.

Mr. Chaturvedi has also congratulated the Indian cricket team led by Rahul Dravid for winning the Second Test Match against England at Mohali.

Bangalorean Anil Kumble, who achieved an important milestone of crossing 500 Test wickets and who also won the man-of-the-match award, merits a word of special appreciation, he said.

He has wished the team the very best in the third Test to be played in Mumbai.
