Help at hand in tackling the Plus 2 examinations

CHENNAI: Students doing their Plus 2 this year will be the first batch in the State to appear for the Board exams set as per the new syllabus.

Science group students, in particular, have a big challenge ahead. The enhanced syllabus aims at nurturing strong fundamentals, building application orientation and problem solving skills among students. To help students cope up with the new curriculum, Aspire has announced a programme, Target Centum.

Senior academicians who have set question papers for Board exams will take regular classes as part of the programme.

Extensive study material, covering portions from the fundamentals to the highest level of difficulty, will be provided. Over a few thousand problems are also handled during the program.

Scholarships

Admission to the programme will be through a one-hour aptitude test based on the plus 1 syllabus. Students scoring high marks also stand to gain scholarships of up to Rs.5,000.

Issue of application will start on March 10. The scholarship exam would be held on March 19.
