HYDERABAD: T. Devender Goud of the Telugu Desam on Monday took exception to the statements made by two senior irrigation officials refuting irregularities in the tender process of the Sripadasagar project when the Assembly debated the issue and charged them with violating the rights of members. Raising the issue, Mr. Goud said that it attracted privileges of the House. While one official had ruled out placing of files, the other had maintained that there were no irregularities. "We want to give privilege [notice] against the two officers," he added. Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy told the member to send the notice and said he would examine whether it constituted a breach of privilege.
