Khurana invited to join Uma's rally

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister and expelled BJP leader Uma Bharti has written to former Delhi Chief Minister Madan Lal Khurana asking him to join her during the "Janadesh Rally'' to be held at the Ramlila Grounds here on March 21.

In a letter to Mr. Khurana on Monday, Ms. Bharti said she held the former Chief Minister in high esteem and at par with senior BJP leaders, including former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former Deputy Prime Minister L.K. Advani. Stating that both Mr. Vjapyee and Mr. Advani had led her down, Ms. Bharti said she was looking forward to Mr. Khurana's presence at the rally to bless her to carry forward her fight for self-respect, security, "swadesi'' and good governance.

Further, Ms. Bharti said Mr. Khurana had given his sweat and blood for the party and made it into a force to reckon with not only in Delhi but also in the neighbouring States. Applauding the good work done by Mr. Khurana for the people of Delhi, Ms. Bharti said the senior BJP leader had served both the party and RSS with full commitment.
