New auto fares from tomorrow

Special Correspondent

Bangalore: The Regional Transport Authority, Bangalore Urban district, has announced that the revised fares for autorickshaws will come into force from Wednesday with the minimum fare going up from Rs. 10 to Rs. 12, according to a press release.

Time for meter recalibration

The authority said autorickshaw owners have been given three months to recalibrate meters of their vehicles.

Until then they have to display in their vehicles, the fare conversion chart, showing the fare in the meter and the new fare applicable. This should be a certified copy issued by the Transport Authority.
