Man dies after being hit by water tanker

BANGALORE: A pedestrian, Kaliappa (45) of Subramanyapura, was killed after he was hit by a water tanker at Doddakallasandra in Banashankari traffic police station limits around 1.30 p.m. on Sunday.

The police have seized the tanker and registered a case.

Chain snatched

A youth snatched a gold chain valued at Rs. 10,000 from an elderly woman in J.C. Nagar police station limits on Sunday.

The police said that around 7.30 p.m. the youth snatched the chain from Sukumari (71) while she was walking inside the compound of her house in Benson Town.

The J.C. Nagar police have registered a case.
