VIJAYAWADA: Global Hospitals, a super-specialty corporate hospital, has launched Global Health Line on All India Radio, Vijayawada, as part of its health awareness drive, said its media coordinator Vedagiri Rambabu. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr. Rambabu said the programme was being aired on AM and FM radio channels respectively from two stations: Vijayawada and Hyderabad, for 15 minutes. The All India Radio, Vijayawada was airing the programme daily from 7.20 a.m. to 7.35 a.m. A doctor specialising in a field interacts with the host of the programme and answer queries. The health awareness programme was launched on December 7 last year and had already completed 100 episodes. "Since the response has been encouraging, we decided to extend it by three more months," Mr. Rambabu said. He said the hospital would open branches at Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai this year. Station director of AI, Vijayawada, M. Aditya Prasad was present.
