Spelling problem

The words engraved on the marble plaque erected at the Municipal Jawahar Stadium on the occasion of the inauguration of the track and field by Sports Minister Dominic Presentation recently drew the public attention thanks to the spelling mistakes that crept in. Some mistakes still remain even after the municipal authorities took steps to correct them.

The surname of the Minister is still spelt as `Presantation.' In the original plaque the inauguration was in the `presents' of the District Panchayat `Presidant' and the municipal `chiarman.' While they were corrected, the `contracter' of the works is untouched.
