KOLLAM: The Ezhava Maha Sabha will field candidates in 66 constituencies for the coming Assembly election. Sabha central council president Prabodh Kandachira and vice-president C.K. Sreedharan said here on Tuesday that the community has lost confidence in both the UDF and the LDF. The 66 constituencies are those where the Sabha has considerable backing from the community members. In the remaining constituencies, the Sabha will back candidates as per the decision of an ad hoc committee of the community. The Sabha candidates will contest from six constituencies in Thiruvananthapuram, eight in Kollam, eight in Alappuzha, four in Pathanamthitta, six in Kottayam, five in Ernakulam, three in Kannur, six in Palakkad, one in Kasaragod, three in Wayanad, two in Idukki, four in Malapuram, two in Kozhikode and nine in Thrissur.
