Rangoli competition to mark Holi

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited on Tuesday organised a rangoli competition at its three outlets in South Delhi to celebrate Holi in its true spirit.

The objective of the competition was to encourage a creative celebration of the festival among Delhiites and reward those talented in the art of rangoli. The competition was organised at Bharat Petroleum Corporation's outlets at Moolchand, Soami Nagar and Shantipath. Open to one and all, the competition saw an impressive participation, particularly from women across all age groups. The participants were provided rangoli colours and each one had 30 minutes to convert colours into beautiful motifs.

One winner was selected from each of the three outlets. The final winner was selected from the three short-listed winners through a lucky draw conducted by model Amanpreet Wahi at Shantipath outlet. The winner walked home with a microwave oven. The other winners were presented steam irons. Amanpreet Wahi was the second runner-up at the Gladrags Mega Model 2004 and has done many ad campaigns and is at present hosting "Maximum Style" on Zoom TV channel.
