Watch him play tabla non-stop

Bangalore: Embar Vagulabharanam will make an attempt to enter the Guinness Book of World Records by playing tabla for 48 hours non-stop at Odukattur Math, Gangadhara Chetty Road, Bangalore, from March 17 from 6.15 p.m. The current record is 30-odd hours non-stop.

Though he can take a break of 20 minutes after every three hours, Mr. Vagulabharanam intends to play non-stop for 31 hours before taking his first break. This 53-year-old will give accompaniment to a series of artistes. He will play for a Bhajan by Subbarama Bhagavathar (7 p.m. on Friday), followed by another bhajan by Bombay Hari (8 p.m.) classical music by Amrit Nagsundar (9 p.m.) He will end his session at 7 p.m. on Sunday. The event is organised by Hasthiru Foundation and Trust.
