Mysore fines

MYSORE: Trainer N.A.Ponnappa was fined Rs.2,000 for declaring jockey J.Rahul to ride his charge Fantastic Fortune in the Nagpur Plate (Div I) (1,400 m), without ascertaining the availability of the rider, run on March 7. Ritesh, rider of Feng Shui was fined Rs.1,000 for the excessive use of whip (1st infringement) in the Sahyadri Plate (Div II) (1,200 m).

In the Thungabhadra Trophy (1,600 m), Amit, rider of Victory Queen, was fined Rs.2,000 for failing to arrive to fulfil his riding engagements. Sunil Singh, rider of Dream Of Sun was fined Rs.1,000 for the excessive use of whip (1st infringement), in the Indi Plate (1,400 m).

On March 8, jockey M. Suresh was fined Rs.1,000 for accepting two rides in the Sira Plate (1,200 m). In the same race J.Rahul, rider of Adam was fined Rs.1,000 for shifting out and causing interference to Vijay Kumar astride Sworn Silence at the start.

Enquiry:

Considering the written complaint filed by the trainers of Pentium Four (Mr. T.Natraj) and Chanks (Mr. G.T.Surender), Stewards have opened an enquiry into the riding of jockey Ashwin Rao, who rode the above horses, in the Indi Plate run on March 7 and in the Kalasa Plate run on March 8.
