Minister refutes TDP charge

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Minister for Panchayati Raj J.C. Diwakara Reddy on Tuesday rejected allegations by Telugu Desam Party leaders about his involvement in the recent seizure of a large number of detonators being transported in a bus belonging to him.

Mr. Reddy told reporters that just because the detonators were found, it did not mean they were being transported for his use.

He also pooh-poohed the allegation that he and his brother had unleashed a reign of terror in Anantapur and said that the TDP was resorting to mud-slinging.
