Kozhikode: The Kerala State Private Motor Thozhilali Federation, affiliated to the AITUC, has asked the State Government to dismiss officials of the Kerala Motor Thozhilali Kshema Board who acted against the interests of the workers. The federation adopted a resolution in this regard at its meeting here on Monday. The meeting said that it was true that the workload of officials increased with the implementation of the amendments made to the schemes. However, many officials, instead of demanding more manpower and reducing the workload, discourage the workers from joining the schemes.
Widespread complaints
Widespread complaints were reported at many offices. The federation had also warned that it would be forced to stage agitations if the officials failed to address the issue. A complaint against the officials will be forwarded to the chairman of the welfare board. Federation vice-president P.T. Varghese presided over the meeting. General secretary K.M. Kuttikrishnan spoke.
